ment of internal resources. these models promote well-being and significantly enhance the psy-
chophysical capabilities of military personnel at all levels. Positive psychology is more than just a
theoretical concept; it represents a practical approach that fosters well-being and self-awareness
while encouraging informed decision-making, even in critical situations. the recent tools develo-
ped by napper and rao, which emphasize the sense of agency - the awareness of being the architect
of one’s own actions - outline seven fundamental steps to adopting a positive lifestyle geared
toward effective problem-solving. these tools provide concrete strategies for facing daily challenges

the Carabinieri, equipping them with valuable tools to enhance the skills and competencies neces-

strengthen the psychophysical well-being of their personnel. by leveraging the support of
Psychology units, alongside activities such as self-reflection, relaxation, and stress management,
it is possible to improve both individual and collective resilience, turning operational challenges
into opportunities for personal growth. this approach is not merely about addressing emotional
distress but about fostering a state of psychophysical balance that underpins lasting and sustai-
nable operational efficiency.

la vita del militare è una sf da continua, un equilibrio delicato tra professio-
nalità ed ef cienza operativa, spesso messo alla prova da eventi critici. Come si può
preservare questo equilibrio?
gli Stati Uniti hanno risposto a questa domanda attraverso l’adozione di
modelli integrati di supporto psicof sico, tra cui il Comprehensive Soldier Fitness
(CSF) e il successivo Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F), che hanno segnato un’evo-
luzione fondamentale nella cura e nel potenziamento delle capacità psicof siche dei
soldati di ogni ordine e grado.
