at least from the point of view of legislation. With the introduction of law 68
of 2015, their operations and effectiveness have been strengthened. These are
the words of those law enforcement agencies, beginning with the State Forestry
Department, who have worked on this issue in recent years.

I would like to underline another aspect of the eco-mafia. It is true, it is
the Report of the Legambiente, but we have done nothing other than line up
the numbers recounting the work carried out by the Carabinieri, the State
Forestry Department and the Port Authorities. We have carried out an excellent
operation in communications, communicability, in a context not of our making,
and the with great - how can I put it - mutual curiosity, a relationship of trust
has built up in operations over the years, with the Legambiente often in the role
of watchful guardians. Having this direct channel of communications with the
forces of law enforcement has enabled us to be more useful in the territory, as
the Minister stated before: the defense of society in the territory, the proximity
of the anti-mafia, the opposition to organised crime, carried out centimeter by
centimeter, is what pays most. Being in the territory is what helps us most to
understand what is happening and, perhaps, to change things. Now I would like
