Tackling Environmental Crime throUgh standardized Methodologies
With regard to the State Forestry Department for whom we feel not only
affection and love, but also respect, when the debate on the draft law presented
by Madia initially started, we had some concerns. People said: “What is it going
to happen to this Department which is a symbol of the State for what it has
represented, for what it represents and for the contribution it will still grant?
Today, after some initial apprehension, they found a solution which we
consider positive. I trust in the increase in the operative means, in the strength
of the law enforcement. There is no doubt whatsoever that the level of quality
reached through the unification of the experience and background of the
Carabinieri and of the State Forestry Department will give a remarkable impul-
se to the safeguarding of the territory. Thank you.
