I Corazzieri, rappresentano il reparto dell’Arma deputato alla sicurezza del palazzo e della persona del Capo dello Stato.
Essi sono subentrati ad altri corpi inizialmente a carattere episodico con le nozze di Vittorio Emanuele II a Torino nel 1842
e poi in via definitiva dal 1868. Nell’immagine si può apprezzare un bel primo piano della drappella.
