Those concerning wildlife have been enhanced during this time: thanks to
the requests from Europe, in Italy hunting birdlife during nesting time, migra-
tion, reproduction, and during the time when baby birds need their parents
has been banned. We have managed to protect at least 5 hectares thanks to the
measure provided for by “Istituto Rete Natura 2000”, that is to say the imple-
mentation of the Habitat Directive in Italy. However, also “Rete Natura 2000”
finds that the most important places for plants and animals - special, unique
places- have been betrayed by degradation and by a long series of works which
are incompatible with their features.

In conclusion, in the last few years criminal behaviours have evolved: as
legislators of law 281, concerning pets, we did not think of it and did not
implement adequate measures of prevention of the phenomenon of cruel dog
boarding. Today - and I would very much like my consideration to remain live
in your attention - we are witnesses of other phenomena: frequent reports of
dog thefts, the worrying flow of stray dogs from the South of Italy towards
foreign countries, towards fantastic adoptions, initially declared well suitable to
the animals but later disappointed by disturbing news.

Indeed I’d like to say much more but I can say Thank You for all you have
done and for what you are going to do. Thank you in view of the synergy that
will enhance our objectives. We’ll be here and, how can I put this? We’ll harass
you with our requests.
