INFRA TERRA, an INTERPOL global operation to track, trace and arrest
wanted fugitives for wildlife crimes.

Distinguished delegates, It is only through joint and coordinated efforts
that we will be able to succeed. Through ICCWC, we are aligning our efforts
and responses to maximize the impact of our activities in the ground.

Effectively addressing illicit trafficking in wildlife will continue to require
scaled up efforts at the national, regional, and global levels. It is crucial that high
level commitments that have been made filter through to the front lines, ensu-
ring that law enforcement authorities are adequately trained, resourced and
equipped to deal with the multi-facetted challenges posed by serious transna-
tional organized wildlife crime. Coupled with everyone’s collaborative efforts,
we will ensure we reverse the current disturbing trends of illegal trade in wil-
dlife and the adverse impacts to environment.
