The course has been concluded by a "Command Post Exercise" where the principles explained during the theoretical lessons have been put into practice in order to cope with the challenges of a realistic crisis management situation. The dramatic and fast paces changes of the security environment; the globalization; the IT revolution, and the asymmetric threats we are mandated to cope with in current scenarios, require an in depth understanding of these phenomena and adequate means to provide a safe and secure environment and a sustainable peace in destabilized and, sometime, even hostile scenarios. The Multinational Specialized Unit, conceived by NATO and led by the Italian carabinieri in the framework of the Balkans in the nineties, has subsequently evolved originating similar units whose main task is to address the security gaps between the capabilities of the military component and the civil police ones. This evolution, and the doctrinal works to up-date and re-shape the model are ongoing and this Center plays a leading role on this. The ceremony was concluded after diplomas were given to the attendees by the Director and the Chief of Studies & Research Department of CoESPU.
