The CoESPU's Chief of Studies & Researches
Department, Col. Bruzzese del Pozzo, has participated from 28th to
29th November 2010 in Dhaka (Bangladesh) at the 16th IATPC Annual
Conference, the theme was: "Training for peacekeeping Missions with
complex mandates".
The workshop, presented by H.E. Zillur Rahman Bangladesh Chief of
State, has been directed by the Australian Assistant Commissioner
Frank Predergast running the 2010 IAPTC's presidency role. About
120 experts have joined the initiative.
The working group on "FPU training" has found that the FPU training
should be prioritized in the Peacekeeping field; as well clearly
emerged the paramount role of the UN DPKO in order to develop a
common training system to harmonize the different training
programme in a common best practices framework.
All the participants agreed about the CoESPU's strong role and
conspicuous involvement, Col. Bruzzese del Pozzo took the floor on
"Rapid deployment of police elements in non stabilised scenarios"
highlighting the referral doctrinal context, the CoESPU's standards
as well the 2009 EUPTF experience.
The next IAPTC conference wiil be hold in Carlisle (USA) from the
19th to the 23rd November 2011.
The workshop has highlighted the best practices and teaching
methodologies for the training of personnel employed in the
international mission in order to develop an effective
harmonization in between the different procedures.
