Formed Police Units (FPU) of the
United Nations

The Training Department of the Center of Excellence for
Stability Police Units in Vicenza, has participated in the
development of the new training programs for the Formed Police
Units (FPU) of the United Nations.
In this working group has participated personnel of the French
Gendarmerie, Norwegian National Police, French National Police,
Eurogendfor, a Danish UN-DPKO representative and personnel
belonging to the Center of Excellence for Stability Police
Units.
On the basis of the new programs, a team of instructors, composed
also by CoESPU's personnel, has participated in the training of
other personnel from Germany, Jordan, Italy, the Fiji Islands,
Nigeria and Russian Federation.
At the end of the course a "pilot mobile training team (MTTs)" has
been sent to oversee Formed Police Units deployed in Liberia in
order to improve their capabilities.
