Signed a Memorandum of Understanding
between CoESPU and the International Institute of Humanitarian Law
of Sanremo

The 2nd of October 2008, in the Palladian city, took place the
signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between CoESPU,
Directed by Major General Emilio Borghini, and the International
Institute of Humanitarian Law (IIHL) of Sanremo, managed by the
Ambassador Maurizio Moreno. Such document expresses the cooperation
developed by the Institutes in challenging themes related to the
international law and the commitments in disseminating Knowledge
regarding the Law of Armed Conflict. All the educational and
training programs are aimed to enhance the capability of the
personnel directly involved in the peacekeeping management and
international stability operations in the field. The development
and the respect of International Humanitarian Law is a cornerstone
during this typology of mission; appropriate in so far the decision
taken from the Institutes to develop a common path with the intent
to cooperate more closely, to largely disseminate the Rules of the
Law Knowledge. |
