Facilities
The CoESPU barracks was named after Lt.Gen. Antonio Chinotto, a
hero of WWI. In the lasts 25 years, more than 10.000 Carabinieri
have been trained in the "Gen. A. Chinotto" barracks, attending
either their second year course for Non-Commissioned Officers
(Marescialli), or a three-month course for Brigadieri (Sergeants),
as well as many different specialized courses for Station
Commanders, Investigators, Mobile patrol team leaders, Crime Scene
Investigators and so on.
Recently the School has provided pre-deployment training courses
for the units chosen to be employed in peacekeeping missions, as
part of the Multinational Specialized Units in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq
and Afghanistan.
During the last five years the Centre has managed and conducted PSO
courses, training and lecturing more than 3500 attendees; that has
become its programmed future mission.
The barracks has all the facilities necessaries for modern PSO
training, to include: a 100 meter shooting range, a digital
simulator for Fire Arm Training system (F.A.T.S.) and a well
equipped gym. CoESPU also offers all the training curricula of the
prominent subjects of the PSO field like, geopolitical analysis,
cultural awareness, international humanitarian law, human rights
and police tactical instructions and
training. |
